WMS community members joined together for dinner, discussion and approval of the PTSA 2019-20 Budget and Officers on Monday evening, June 10.

The Community Meeting featured Consultant and WMS Middle School Success Coordinator LaKesha Kimbrough leading a conversation and small group activities to help create ideas for “How Families and School can work together to build a healthy community.” Groups each brainstormed answers to questions that, for example, asked what types of collaboration could occur among staff, administrators, families and students.

Attendees also enjoyed a free dinner catered by Bananas Grill and free child care (ages 5 and up). The event started at 6 in the WMS Library, and ran until about 8:30.

2019-20 Executive Committee and Budget approved
PTSA Board Co-President Cliff Meyer presented the PTSA 2019-20 proposed leadership and $133,000 budget for support of WMS. Each was approved unanimously by PTSA members. More details:
