Graphic showing a stylized eye, for "Look Within," the 2019-20 PTA Reflections Arts Contest

Oct. 18 is the deadline for entering the Washington Middle School round of the 2019-20 national PTA “Reflections” arts contest. Entries should reflect the theme of “Look Within.”

Students may enter original work in any of six categories:

  • visual art (2D or 3D)
  • photography
  • literature
  • music composition
  • film/video production
  • dance choreography

An optional “special artist” category is available to students who qualify under ADA regulations. Full rules are on the WA State PTA’s Reflections info page.

Entry forms to be available at the WMS Art Room or download from our Forms Page. (It’s easy to enter!) Ms. Jungblom and other teachers are assisting with Reflections, but the local round of the contest is being coordinated by the PTSA.

Questions? Contact WMS PTSA Reflections Volunteer Jen Drain, at reflections@wmsptsa.com.

Winners in this round will advance to a citywide Grades 6-8 competition, which includes an art show at Seattle Center. There’s a chance to reach the statewide and national rounds!
